Generation Studios Now Offering AI Filmmaking to All

The past few years days have transformed what it means to make a film. NOTE: It also finally allowed me to check biplane acrobatics off my bucket list (thank you Sam Altman).

As someone who has been working in the field of AI film and video for almost 2 years now I’m used to having my mind blown by the speed of innovation but even I was gobsmacked by Sora 2. I think the release of their latest app / platform / technology / social network will go down in history as one of media’s great milestones.

But aside from the most recent developments, artificial intelligence is no longer a distant tool—it’s here, reshaping how stories are written, visualized, performed, and shared.

At Generation Studios, we’ve been exploring this new terrain firsthand. What began as experiments in AI-generated imagery and synthetic voices has evolved into a full creative workflow: writing, casting, designing, and producing short films and documentaries that merge human storytelling with machine capability.

Our recent collaboration with Reid Hoffman opened the door to a new wave of interest from organizations eager to understand how AI can accelerate production without losing the creative soul that makes stories matter. We’ve now begun working with a range of partners to bring this technology into professional production environments—projects that test not just what’s possible, but what’s meaningful.

AI tools can reduce costs and timelines dramatically, but the real opportunity lies beyond efficiency. They allow filmmakers to imagine scenes that couldn’t exist before—to rebuild lost worlds, resurrect forgotten histories, and visualize the invisible connections between people and ideas.

We’re still at the beginning of this journey. But every project offers a glimpse of the future: a world where creativity moves at the speed of thought.

If you’re interested in exploring how these tools might change your own storytelling, visit generation.film or reach out directly.

Let’s see what’s next—together.
